Get Cited by AI, Not Just Ranked
More Australians are asking ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews instead of clicking ten blue links. We make sure your business is the answer those systems retrieve and cite.

What Is GEO and AEO?
Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) are the practice of being retrieved and cited by AI answers. Traditional SEO competes for a position in a list of links. GEO and AEO compete to be the source an AI system quotes when it answers a question. That means being machine-readable and unambiguous about who you are, being quotable at the sentence level across the AI search engines — ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot — and having structured data that lets a model understand your entities, services and location. If an AI assistant cannot confidently state what your business does and that you are a credible Australian provider, you are invisible in that channel — no matter how good your rankings are.
How We Make AI Cite Your Business
A structured approach to being retrieved, trusted and quoted across AI answer surfaces.
AI Visibility Baseline
We test how ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity currently describe and answer for your brand, category and key buying questions — the starting picture.
Entity & Brand Clarity
Consistent, unambiguous facts about your business — name, services, location, credentials — across your site and the sources AI trusts, so models resolve you correctly.
Schema & Machine Readability
The structured data that lets AI understand your organisation, services, FAQs, reviews and locations — and attribute them accurately to you.
Answer-Ready Content
Restructuring key pages so they contain clear, quotable, directly-answered responses to real customer questions — the format AI is built to lift.
Authoritative Source Building
Third-party mentions, citations and digital PR that make you a source AI models are confident citing, not just a site it has never heard of.
Ongoing AI Monitoring
Tracking whether and how you appear in AI answers over time, and iterating on the content and structure that move the needle.
How AI Search Actually Works (and Why It Differs from SEO)
When someone asks an AI assistant a buying question, the system does something fundamentally different from a search engine crawl. It retrieves a small set of relevant sources, synthesises an answer, and — increasingly — cites the pages it used. Whether your business makes it into that retrieved set depends less on keywords and more on whether a model can resolve your entity confidently and find a passage it can quote with confidence.
That favours a different set of optimisations. Clear, consistent entity signals (your business name, category, location and services stated plainly and consistently); structured data that machine-reads cleanly; content organised around the actual questions customers ask, with the answer stated early and directly; and third-party sources that corroborate who you are. A page that is a beautifully written 2,000-word essay with no direct answer is less quotable than a page that answers the question in the first paragraph and supports it with specifics.
The Four Levers: Visibility, Entity, Evidence, Answer Format
Visibility. Can a model find and accurately retrieve you at all? We establish a baseline across the major assistants and answer engines for your priority questions, because almost every Australian business starts at zero or, worse, is described incorrectly.
Entity. AI systems resolve businesses as entities, not keywords. If your name, category, services and location differ between your website, your Google Business Profile and third-party directories, a model may treat you as several things — or none. Getting these facts consistent is unglamorous and unusually high-impact.
Evidence. AI is cautious. It cites what it can attribute to a credible source. Original data, expert-authored content, clear credentials and independent mentions give models the confidence to cite you rather than a competitor with stronger corroboration.
Answer format. AI quotes passages. Direct, self-contained answers to specific questions — ideally 40–60 words — in a scannable structure (short paragraphs, descriptive subheadings, FAQ blocks) are the most likely text to be lifted into an AI answer.
GEO, AEO and Classic SEO Are Complementary, Not Competing
AI search is not replacing SEO; it is adding a new retrieval surface on top of it. The pages most likely to be cited by AI are, almost by definition, pages that are also good for organic search: relevant, fast, well-structured, credible and genuinely useful. Rather than treating GEO as a separate discipline, we build it into the same work — better on-page structure and schema serve both, while the additional GEO work focuses on entity clarity and quotable, answer-first content.
This is also why accessibility and AI visibility reinforce each other: descriptive headings, meaningful link text and clean semantic markup are exactly what make content easy for both screen readers and machine retrieval to parse.
What We Deliver and How We Measure It
An engagement typically starts with an AI visibility audit: we capture how the major assistants currently answer for your category and brand, where you are absent, cited or misrepresented, and which competitors are being quoted instead. From there we prioritise the content and entity fixes with the highest chance of moving those answers.
Measurement is the part most agencies skip. We track AI-answer visibility for a defined set of priority questions — whether you are mentioned, whether you are cited, and what is said about you — alongside ordinary organic rankings and leads. That gives you one honest view of performance across classic search, AI answers and the traffic they send back to your site.
Is Your Business Ready for AI Search?
A quick self-assessment. Three or more “no” answers means AI assistants likely describe you poorly or not at all.
- You have tested how ChatGPT or Gemini currently describe your business
- Your business name, category and services are stated identically on your site, Google Business Profile and key directories
- Your top service pages answer their key question directly in the opening paragraphs
- You have FAQ blocks on the pages customers actually ask questions about
- Your organisation, service and location details are marked up with structured data
- Your content names specific Australian locations, suburbs and local conditions where relevant
- You have independent third-party mentions or coverage AI models can attribute to you
- Someone on your team reviews how AI describes your brand at least quarterly

AI Search Optimisation — FAQ
What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation)?
GEO is the practice of optimising a brand so generative AI systems such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot retrieve, mention and cite it when answering relevant questions — as distinct from ranking it in a traditional list of search results.
How is AEO different from GEO?
AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) focuses on structuring content so search engines and answer engines can extract a direct, correct answer to a question — think featured snippets and voice results. GEO extends the same idea to generative AI, where the model synthesises an answer and cites its sources. We handle both together.
Does AI search optimisation replace SEO?
No. AI search adds a new retrieval surface on top of organic search. The pages most likely to be cited by AI are also the pages that perform best in classic SEO — relevant, fast, credible and well-structured — so most GEO work simply makes your existing SEO stronger.
How do you measure AI search visibility?
We track a defined set of priority questions across the major assistants and answer engines and record whether your brand is mentioned, cited, or absent — alongside what is said about you. We report this over time next to organic rankings and leads, so you can see the real business impact rather than vanity metrics.
How long does it take to see results from AI search optimisation?
Entity and schema fixes can improve how AI describes your business within weeks, because they change what a model can resolve about you immediately. Competitive citation gains take longer — typically a few months — because they depend on building third-party corroboration and genuinely authoritative content. We set expectations honestly at the outset.
Can my business be cited by ChatGPT if I have a small website?
Yes. AI citations lean on clarity and credibility more than site size. A small, extremely clear site that consistently describes what you do, where you operate and who you are — with clean structured data and a few credible third-party mentions — can be cited more often than a large, vague one.
